The Coastal Reserve "El Morro" is a protected marine
enviroment located on the Gulf of Guayaquil a few kms from
Villamil Playas beach and 1 1/2 hours from Guayaquil, the
principal port of Ecuador.

bottlenosed dolphins in their natural habitat throughout

in larger numbers than anywhere else in the country.


Bottlenosed dolphins ("Bufeos") are the principal attraction in the Reserve because of their unique behavior and natural charm.


You can see frigate birds in all their splendor perched
on
mangrove trees on Bird Island ("Manglecito")
within
the Reserve.
